I was looking at the Rankings page, and saw that The USA has the most users online, followed by Germany and the UK.

It makes sense to have USA and UK as the most because English pretty much dominates the world (nearly)

So, curiosity overcame me and I'm wondering, why does Germany have the 2nd most users online?

Is it because they like to command?

Is it because the German version was the first out?

Is it because....?

I dunno. Does anyone know?

I'm guessing it's because a lot of Germans like to play BF2.

I'd figure it would be French because I hardly see German speaking people, but then again most of the French people are from Cold Mexico (Thank you Conan O'Brien)

Hmm,I am a German,and I bought BF2 because I played BF1942 a lot.

And I guess I played it like a lot of others Germans because there were German WWII-soldiers in the game(the voices were so funny - Feindliches U-Boot gesichtet!!! LOL!).

But why Germany is 3rd in players I can't really imagine,there are a lot of European countries of similar size where people like to play online games....

^ all of the above...bf2 is just a nice game, plus we have all these homegrown guns some of us actually used during mandatory service (i remember my G3 fondly although it was f*cking heavy after some time) and for me personally it nice to have at least one shooter where i don´t have to kill my own grandfathers all the time (one was tanker in stalingrad and had to walk back, the other one was in france).

because there are a lot of germans and there are more people in germany who have a computer than france (ever been to south france, no cd's, no computers there *G*) And germany has more people than uk.

Wow. I never thought about that. Are there any Germans here who had a family member fight for Germany in WW2? If so, how do you feel about all the games released where you have to fight the Germans?

usually i don´t care tho, don´t interpret too much into it since its just games, but when i visited them and stories where told (like my wifes grandpa hat one of his legs shot off by an attacking airplane, he was cook on a ship and likes to tell the story of his leg sailing past and wondering whose it was) i do get some bad feelings sometimes.

a really simple answer really. there are a lot of germans and furthermore they have more time on their hands than other nations (school only in the morning, afternoon is free, many unemployed, ...)
