anyone know a good support guide other then the one on this wiki. I kept getting owned by this one support guy in sf and id like to start using it again, since it use to be my favorite class.
Short bursts.
shoot at the ground infront of the person you are shooting at,with the non-unlock support gun/pkm
empty ur whole clip and hope random bullets fly towards ur enemies head.
Die and switch to a kit you're better at.
I'll write one tomorrow or the next day. Been meaning to do that.ChyneseGUY wrote:

In the meantime, use the PKM, never shoot unless prone, don't zoom in (doesnt make a difference with accuracy) and whack him from up close.

cool talon. +1 for being one of the more helpful ones
Eh, I got so much Karma from my AT guide, I'm just hungry for more.
Excuse me? Short controlled bursts is all the help you need. Last time I answer any of your questions.ChyneseGUY wrote:

You have enough karma to feed the netire forum for a wee!usmarine2005 wrote:

I'd suggest practice with the MG36 and you can tear up any team. Just keep clicking of the short bursts while remaining in Full Auto. As with any weapon, spend enough time with it and you'll know it well and with this experience the MG36 is far more deadly than the PKM. However, what you must be careful of is spraying with the accuracy of the MG36 having the largest capacity for inaccuracy (a mistake by DICE it seems to me - the PKM, if anything, should be affected this badly if that badly at all). Oh, and remember to throw ammo packs around for your people expending ammunition at a fair rate. Although you shouldn't necessarily be on the spear-head of any attack, you should be right-behind the pace makers ready with your main weapon and ammuntion. Also, I suggest becoming an experienced pistoler as the reload times for support weapons are poor, and you can often find yourself getting a bit trigger happy meaning you need accuracy to finish off or you don't have time to reload. * And the most important thing is to remain confident, always concentrate and to have fun while you are playing. This is what makes a great support player.
EDIT: And remember that crouch brings practically the same benefits of proning. This can be a very useful fact to bear in mind.

Of course it was helpful.
lol i heard that a bunch of times already, although i never meant that. i just chose the wrong words.
yes ive also found that not using the scope works to your advantage. lately, support has become my favorite kit to play with and i am starting to get really good with the guns (saw and rpk) all you need is some practice with the certain gun and you will understand its tendencies more and more. if you fire the short controlled bursts with any gun on this game with no scope, you are likely to succeed. so in conclusion, practice, practice, and practice.
edit: i forgot to mention, DO NOT USE THE SUPPORT UNLOCKS. they suck and you can kill so much faster with a saw or rpk, i promise.

In real life or a video game, to machine gunners using short controlled bursts and using the "talking guns" method can cover any avenue of approach effectively.
@ usmarine2005, ive noticed you seem to prefer the SAW over the PKM for instance, whats the reason for your preference, if any. I've just started to play support more, using the PKM, which i like. just wondered if you noticed any real performance issues (apart from rate of fire), or is it just a preferance for the 'feel' of one over the other.
i think u meant me because i didnt see marine say anything about saws. if u meant me ill go ahead and explain y. i used to use the pkm b4 they nerfed it and now i find that the saw is much more accurate and deadly IF USED PROPERLY. it is difficult to master but once you do, you will be unstoppable with it. never use the scope, fire in short bursts, and aim for the head/neck/chest area. good luck manbroncobullfrog wrote:

I prefer the SAW for the dumbest reason ever to be honest, I actually used it in real life, and that is why I prefer to use it in the game.broncobullfrog wrote:
