while i was playing this one sf map were rebels are guarding a missle silo or something, i got to use the tank alot. I would dual up with this one other dude who seemed to be getting the other tank alot too and we kept owning like big time, sweeping bases until everyone respawned with RPGs and raped us back. When the other guy wasnt around i was sticking to the biggest group of friendlies i could find cuz ive learned to many times that trying to cap a base in a tank alone is suicide. So cause i was with other people supporting me, i only died like 3 times the whole round and racked up like 25 kills ( i got my basic support specialist and vet badge in the same round lol) But toward the end of the round when i paired up with the other tank, this one colonel started telling us off as tank whores. Now i know how a medic can whore but i've never realized how a tank can whore. I mean i'm not even that good at it but since no one else is grabbing it i might as well use it right? So can anyone tell me what you would consider as tank whoring?

i think tank whores are people that only play tanks and tk their teammates for tanks and just consider a round wasted if they're not in a tank the whole time. same for plane whores. what gets me is when people act like they can't have fun in a round without flying or driving a tank around. but hell, play however you like. i enjoy the variety in bf2, but if you want to just get points that don't mean anything by doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over more power to you.

Well, I look at it this way. If you have an insane amount of time in armor and you enjoy it, there is nothing wrong with that. What I hate is I know the only way most people get those kind of hours is to stand around with their thumb up their asses waiting for it to spawn.

There is no quick&simple definition for a tank whore, but it includes one or more of the following:
* letting/causing a friendly tank to kill you (usually accompanied by punishing the tank driver for TK, in hopes of getting him booted)
* asking someone to get out of the tank, either by jumping in turret gun and spamming "bail out!", or by typing it in the chat screen
