You only get tank whores on City maps - because all they do is spawn rape. Thats why I like Sharqi - you get TOW's in decent positions to take the sods out.
Every non city map? Well, just try playing Infantry non stop all round, especially on Zatar, or DV. I play armour non stop on those maps, capping flags, taking out enemy armour/AA and even a few helis As far as im concerned, that doesnt make me a tank whore. Its putting a bit of kit to good use to aid your teams effort to win the round. Thats also because I suck in jets and see no point in joining a tk fest for the chopper either...so I will "tank whore" all I want

I define tank whoring as someone who will repeatedly use a tank. Some one can use it, die/get blown up - respawn, and hop back into the tank when it spawns to go rape infantry again......etc..etc..

If tank whoring is just not playing unless you're in a tank I really have no problem with that (or any other kind of whoring for that matter). As long as you are not TKing for vehicles or otherwise hurting your team you can play however you want. Most of the other definitions I would say aren't part of tank-whoring (although they frequently go along with it); they're just being a smacktard. Plenty of infantry players do some of those things too.
Ditto. I consider a whore someone who teamkills for item, rapes bases repeatedly, finds some spot to sit and rape spawnsor goes after infantry exclusively. Armor is for fighting armor. To reduce the name calling be an engineer, it is more appropriate in armor than the medics or snipers I see in them all the time. They don't belong in a tank all game. Sure as a spur of the moment thing but not the whole round. If you choose to tank/APC then be an engineer and your less likely to be called a whore. I use tanks and APC a lot and on many servers there is no competition for it. I have also had guys get out of, or pass over, armor for me, as an engineer, if they are another class cuz they know it's right. Wrong! What are you saying that some guy should die in his tank, respawn and stand there doing nothing or go on an infantry run? I, often spawn and grab armor repetedly. It is good for the team to have armor in the fight. If there is a line of dudes for it, wait and chat to them letting them know you respect the ROE. (but not too long cuz you are needed at the front, not in a parking lot) I usually only repetedly tank on maps that are not too crowded and where there is no competion for it. Thats not tank whoring, tank woring is always using a tank. I guess I could be considered an infantry whore being that my most played vehicle is transport wiyth around 23 hrs.

My brother started off bf2 as a solid infantryman, but slowly succumbed to the dark side and is now a fully fledged tank whoring bitch. His vehicle of choice is the apc and will happily sit in a prime spawn raping spot and rape the fuck out of those poor bastards. Enemy armour is avoided at all costs and of course hes happy to run like a girl and use his trusty tool to fix himself if he gets a broken nail. I can barely look him in the eyes nowaday.

Its been said before, but i have to repeat myself: there IS no such thing as a tank "whore".
Unless you can find a hooker who will do it with you inside/on top of a tank, maybe ...

4 major ways to be a tank whore
- If your tank is ready to assplode and you die with it just to spawn and take it again.
- If you camp enemy uncaps.
- If you tk team to get tank or any vehicle.
- If you have more hours in tank then ecr.rc lol j/k.

Tank whores = People that only use Tanks on Karkand and maybe Mashtuur. avoid enemy tanks and focus on soley taking out infantry
Same can be said with other vehicle whores, who make a mutual agreement not to attack each other but to just attack infantry, mainly becuase it's "easier"
It was rampant for air-vehicles pre 1.2 because AA was useless, and many fighter pilots didn't have the will or see the need to endlessly follow someone using guns when they could be spending that time raping infantry. Glad that's more or less gone. Funny how people hardly use Tanks in other maps, cmon now. Scared of choppers? They are much more fun to try and hit than infantry...

I say fuck anybody who complains about people "whoring" something. Nobody's invincible, find a way to kill that person. I don't see why people would complain about tanks. The tank drivers know you get pissed off when you complain so they aim for you more. How about they try helping out their team by going anti-tank and destroying the tank that way? Two good rocket shots on any tank will kill any tank in the game, it's not that hard.
And how the hell can a medic whore? By helping his teammates? Yeah, that makes sense. Next time when somebody complains about people who medic whore, I just won't heal them or revive them when they need my help. Then they'll bitch at me and I'll just say, "Sorry, I just don't want to be called a medic whore..." I hate all these stupid complainers. And the term whore in games is retarded too. If you do something too much your a whore at it. How about you do something a lot because you're good at it and it works? I guess if you're good at something you're a whore in it. So next time some sniper kills me three times I'm going to call him a sniper whore. Next time I get killed by a knife 3 times I'm going to call the guy a knife whore. Next time I fall too from too high and get killed I'm going to call the game a Physics whore. I don't see why these damn whiners can't just fucking take the game as it is and stop complaining because they die. Here's some advice, you're supposed to die.
