Community Update - 8/26/06
Greetings Everyone, As many of you are now aware we have made the choice to take some extra time with the 1.4 patch before release.
During our standard final processing of the 1.4 client update we came across an issue that, although it does not compromise stability, we felt needed to be addressed in order to meet our goal of improving the overall player experience with Battlefield 2.
We have almost corrected the issue now and apologies for the extended wait, as we are aware that so many of you have been looking forward to this patch we have decided to give you yet another new feature. As well as the new map Road to Jalalabad, we have included a new hand gun unlock. We have received many letters asking for this feature and we felt that you deserved it after the disappointment of patch 1.3.
The Unlock itself has almost been completed and is now being implemented into the game, as with the other unlocks the new hand gun will only be unlocked when you are promoted to a new rank. So far we are keeping it a secret as to what gun it is, but here at EA we feel that you will be happily surprised with it.
