Rember when a black hawk could protect it's self from AA and PKM whores on the ground? I do, and i sure do miss it. Even if i was the one getting raped on the ground. This was when BF2 was most fun, but all the littlw iney bitchs had to complane and make the game worse.

I loved BH whoring days it gave me a lot of hours in the Heli and a lot of driver assist points i remember getting 1 guy 60 kills in a around just by circling a base. I hated the people that bitched it was unrealistic they should watch a few real life BH videos those minguns rip people apart firing 100 bullets per second

Yeah, I told before I got my first gold medal sitting in the gunner seat @ Mashtuur. I do miss those days as it was truly lots of fun. Instead of nerfing the BlackHawk, they should have given more power to MEC and PLA choppers. The fun factor would be even greater.

Old day BH - Mashtuur was fucked up . The only way I see - remove machine guns on helo's on Mashtuur , then old-day BH is ok .

Damn, after watching that video, I'm pissed at what they did, as I'm sure everyone else is. I want them to revert to that patch, whichever it was.

I was gona buy this game when it came out, but I was into CSS too much and thought "na fuck it". Fuck me, this is what I missed. That minigun used to fkin own I see. At the moment, I love it when I get into one on the ground in a US base, sit in the minigun seat and tear up a few troops spawning. I tried that, but shot an APC instead. Took it out before it overheated, which was nice. But since the BH was sitting on the ground, it was pointless.

All I can say is, I want that shit back. It looks like back in them days - everyone wanted to be US on Wake, and nobody cared about the J10.

Yeah, there you go. Download an old patch to get your fix. Leave it out of the current BF2. It ruins Mashtuur. Though, all other maps it didn't seem to be problem because there was always something else to balance it out.

DICE should have put M2HB .50 cals on the Blackhawk in the first place and never let anyone see it with M134s or rocket pods. Advantages:

-Mashtuur doesn't become unplayable as MEC on public servers.
-No more whining about "ZOMG DEY NURFED M4I FAVOR1TE 1337 GUN OMGOMGOMG HOO CAREZ ABOUT BALANCE U N00BZ OMG I H8 EA LOMG I WANNA B 1337 ST1LL"
-Transport helicopters would actually be used for transport.

-actual dogfights, skilled pilots, relatively balanced maps.
-If you could see a chopper, you could TV guide it
-free movement
-no claymore whoring
-no lag, stuttering, CTD's
-and so on

fun times, I don't think I would have gotten into BF2 half as much if I would have started playing post-1.2
