Strange 'piss take' error message?

Another one of my amazing and spontaneous bf2 problems:

i start bf2, usual black screen, then this error message comes up...

"mods/bf2/shaders/staticmesh.fx not found!!! _DO_ check your working directory, _AND_ sync your shaders folder before calling upon your local rendering programmer/GP. (really!)"

that, within the quotation marks is exactly what it says, including the "(really!)" at the end...

any ideas anyone?

Help would be greatly appreciated

i had this when i tried starting BF2 using my g15 keyboard, just try a different shortcut, worked out for me.

WEll my friend I had the same probelm.

You have to do this:

1st. Uninstall BF2
2nd. Restart PC
3rd. Install BF2
4th. Install BF2SF
5th. Install Patch 1.3
6th. Then retrieve your account back
7th. Play

Twist: Too old to be doing this sh*t; +103|6993|Little blue planet, milky way

Another easy way to circimvent the problem by is to simply delete your BF2 cache. Usually helps.
