Hey,
   I was playin BF2 perfectly fine the other day, after about the 8th round my BF2 crashed(no big deal) but ever since then I log into my acct on BF2 and maybe 1 min passes then my whole computer instantly reboots.  Any ideas?

WinXP Sp2 - Fully Updated
AMD 64 2x 4400+
Asus Geforce n6600 - latest drivers installed
BF2 reinstalled and patched with the 1.3 Full patch

maybe a fan has stopped working in your computer and it is now overheating all the time?

try lowering the graphics settings before playing and see what happens. If you are able to play longer, then this would be a good sign that something must have been overheating to cause your computer to restart.

Nothing on my comp is over 34C and this is happens anytime.  I can sit looking at my profile and after about a min or 2 it will restart my computer.

Being ingame for 2 minutes gets you a restart? Start scanning your pc with a good antivirus-program.

The comp I'm playing on is not connected to the internet at any time other than BF2 or some other online game, as my network cable is into my Xbox360 instead of my gaming PC when I'm not playing an online game.  It works fine with games like, Prey, Titan Quest, WoW ect.  Even patches for games are downloaded on another comp and scanned before being xfered by usb drive to this computer.

Uninstalled and reinstalled again (3rd time) and it stopped.

Well now, it appears to of come back after playing like 10 rounds........
