Most pizza in the NYC/NJ area isn't even made by Italian Americans. They have illegal immigrants in the back making the dough and more complex food while pretty teen girls stick it in and pull it out of ovens in the front. It's a scam. It's like a hot dog truck selling Oscar Mayer hot dogs as "German sausage".

Massaman curry is in no way a viet dish. Massaman is thai dish, inspired by muslims. If anything, it's southern thai.
same as above - peri peri is decidedly NOT ethiopian, even if berbere spice is.
I feel like they are going out of their way to fit their dishes in to an idea instead of just calling it straight up. The dishes sound good without that fluff though.
I've tried some of those meats. I had kangaroo in Vancouver. It was not good. Ostrich was good, but dry and gamey.
I know I'm a pussy, but I can't bring myself to eat insects, chocolate covered or not. I've eaten large sea snails in Japan and frogs in France, but something about insects is just really gross to me. I think it's actually their appearance that does it to me. I don't want to hold them, look at them, or have them near me. Putting one in my mouth is a 'nah'.
