Chat GPT finally upgraded to a new model. Apparently it removed the ass kissing and enthusiasm and replaced it with a more cold and straightforward one.
A lot of people are upset because they enjoyed the friendly and fun ChatGPT. I think the fun ChatGPT was actually a great thing for a society drowning in negativity. Other people are suggesting that by making the model less wordy OpenAI is saving money. That's important because even paid users like me are actually a net loss for them.

i imagine mac could tell 5 "in the weirdly ingratiating, merry style of chatgpt 4" while generating borderline softcore movie scripts involving creeping past cucked soldiers like solid snake. "ooh, that sounds like a wonderfully engaging plot! let's get to work writing it in a way that respects the dignity and wellbeing of all the characters." can see it now.

also hurting actual artists in that they're getting called out by people who accuse them of using ai for their stuff. horrible feeling, probably. don't want to be That Person. imagine spending like 100 hours of your life on something only to get it flagged because someone sees a pixel or turn of the phrase that looks slightly off.
