I have recently started playing infantry only servers, and I am enjoying this game as much as I did when I first got it. So, if you only had a choice between two servers, IO or Standard, which one would you choose and why.

Standard,so i have the choice to either be infantry or in a vehicle.

I'm a vehicle whore and proud of it.But some IO would also be fun because it requires alot more team work and is more challenging.

infantry only that allows u to use humvee 4 trans port
Infantry only is more off a FPS game that BF2 is, while sitting in a tank reminds me of some lame shootout game.
Infantry: shoot or die

Standard. As fun as infantry is. I love planes and helos
If infantry only simply was infantry only, and it was ranked (so it would be populair for the nubcakes), then yes. But with completely modified infantry combat vs. proper infantry & a few easy to kill tankwhores I'd have to choose standard.
Standard. I like the whole combined arms thing, even the feeling of 'oh crap' as you try to hide from a tank.

It is ranked. Some of the servers have different rules. Some allow jeeps for transport, some dont. Some allow arty, while some dont even allow commanders.SargeV1.4 wrote:

I like standard...thats why I play BF2 in the first place.
Infantry only!! I mean don't get me wrong, its awesome blowing up a tank or two! Cuz most tank whores think they are invincible, then lil ol me with my at rocket or tow blows them up and they start screaming and whinning I just love those moments. But I would like to see infantry only games too, cuz a squad that works together could own the whole game=)
jets n shiznit, i hate being blown up by all that crap but they are good fun to fly

I'm an infantry whore, i only have about 20 of my 200+ hours in a vehicle.
Standard - I play the game how its meant to be fucking played and not whine about some vehicle or ability that may or may not be overpowered.
If I wanted Infantry only, I can think of a load of games which make BF2 look like a piece of shit and Id play those instead.

Standard - it's ranked and I'm a stat whore. IO (in its current form) leads to stats being wiped so sod that.
Infantry Only (not 1.4) - more skill needed, more fun, more teamwork.
Standard, i don't really like spamming claymores, ammo bags, medic bags and nades for however long a round lasts. And i'm guessing people will do IO on 64 Karkand with 16 players. Real fun..

IO doesnt mean more skill is needed. The only times where skill isn't needed in Vehicles is Armour on Karkand/Mashtuur and maybe Sharqi and probably Jalalabad. Maybe J10's on Wake/Dalian. Even then, takes more skill to get those chopper kills in a J10 then it does to spam medic bags for infinite health, the bunny hop and dolphin dive with a G36E which is accurate at all ranges and accurate without even using sights with it's 3 round burst. Some guys are laughable
