OK what exactly make your PC load a game faster? i have 1GB of ram (another 1 GB ordered) and i have a Ge force 6600 on the way as well, will these help me load faster? its sick, its taking me around 10 Min's now to load a game i have a GE Force FX5500 ATM.

goddam 10 minutes? lol i have the same card and ram as you and it takes me about 1-2 mins.

RAM makes you load faster. A video card reduces the screen lag people have. Your connection helps reduce the overall lag you will have in a server, although, you will never totally get rid of lag.

yup it takes so long i can go make coffee, take a dump....sometimes even a shower! how do i find out how fast my processer is?

Loading time can also be affected by a crap registry. regcleaner software will help immensely, as will removing unused software.

Also try closing all background applications and processes, theses can eat away at your system memory and page file. Search this site for "processes" to find what to turn off.

Make sure your HD is set to its fastest running speed!! Mine was first set to PIO, took about 10 minutes to load, (8 actually) my dad put it to Ultra DMA mode 5, (fastest on mine) now it about 2 minutes. Contact me if you don't know how to do that, and I'll do my best in translation the progress, k?

Right click on My Computer and select properties. It should have your processor speed as well as the amount of ram you have there.

Yes. That is fine for bf2. Just upgrade your ram and you should be fine.

Defragging your hard drive also helps. Do it overnight as it can take awhile.
