Ok, I'll try to make this as simple as possible...
1. I have a full version of BF2 on one of my 2 computers
2. I have the demo version of BF2 on the 2 networked computers
The reason for the demo version is that I have been told that I cannot have the full version on two different computers, and I have two sons that like to play against eachother just for giggles....and they're getting tired of Oman
Question:
Is there any way to get the full version's maps into the demo version's just for LAN play?
I'm assuming that I would have to:
1. Install the full version on both of the computers (unpatched - different directory than 1.3/1.4)
2. Copy (at least) the "levels" directory from the unpatched full version to the demo directory on both computers.
(I don't know if anything else besides the "levels" directory has to be copied...I'm asking)
Has anyone tried this? Gonna run out and get a 6 of Becks before trying, but thought I'd ask; it may be a futile effort.
Don't want to break any EA rules either, though...although this probably is now that I think about it....thoughts?
Thanks,
CCN
