The moment many loyal E-Sports fans have waited for is finally here: E-Sports is going to hit the television airwaves of North America. DirecTV and its partners will be broadcasting the Championship Gaming Invitational (CGI) this Friday at 10:00 PM EST.

The event includes Battlefield 2, Counter-Strike 1.6, DOA4, HALO 2, and Project Gotham Racing 3. (20ID won the BF2 Championship.)

It is very important for the future of professional gaming that we get as many viewers for the event as possible. We are strongly encouraging every gaming fan in North America to find a place with DirecTV to watch the tourney. If you have TIVO, be sure to give the show a "thumbs up" as that data is also registered.

Below is a schedule of Friday's programming. The show is free and can be seen on several channels:

Friday, September 8 10:00 PM EDT Channel 101
Friday, September 8 10:00 PM EDT Channel 334
Friday, September 8 10:00 PM EDT Channel 800
Friday, September 8 10:00 PM EDT Channel 580

The action continues Saturday night at 10 PM EST and Sunday at 6 PM EST. The show is a 3 part project, so make plans to watch all 3! (The 20ID championship match will most likely be on Sunday night.)

Please take a look at the rules - the link is at the top of the forums.  On there you will notice that it says, "Do not advertise.  Ever."   Please remember this rule in the future.
