I wake up this morning to find a million pop ups on my screen, new desktop icons and corrupted DLL files.
I just got down reformating and everything. Gotta re-install everything all my games and the patches, as well as everything I have.

Before reformating I ran my spysweeper and it found 10 trojans and like some weird program supposedly worse than trojan. It was in my "memory". I was able to get rid of them and began reformatting.

I then looked in my "program files" folder in my "my computer" and found a text document which read something along the lines of- "This is (insert name) you have been hacked, please take better care of your PC and you can also thank bill gates for this."

Stupid 14 yr old kids with nothing better to do...I'd do anything short of paying this punk a personal visit to get back lol....

DL Bf2 patch right now...35 min left

This is sort of ironic because just last night before I went to bed I was watching "Doomsday tech" on the history channel...they got to a part where they discussed "cyber warfare"...and they were showing off new anti-hack technologies.....some pretty crazy stuff.

They were discussing the possibly of a well funded rogue nation hacking our (the USA's) nuclear codes and all that ****.

A single man was able to hack into Fort bennings computer database and monitor network activity and training exercises before he was finally discovered.

Just goes to show how no system is 100% safe.

But we are working on some crazy stuff like useing light to transfer info, just alot of weird stuff.

I doubt you actually got hacked. Probally just some spyware you picked up somewhere that did all that. A simple batch file can be downloaded without you even knowing, and can do everything you just described, and oh-so much more.

I have firewalls disabled. I rely on webroot spysweeper...but I always have it disabled because I just game on my PC. Its a solid anti-virus program...can detect up to 148,000 known viruses, spyware etc....

I just never have it enabled.

You didn't exactly get hacked, it was just a script kiddie messing with you. I hate the bastards. You have a decent firewall, right? Preferably a router. There are sites that scan your ports, to see if you're vunerable to things like that. Might want to get some software so that you can scan your own ports, and close any unnessisary ones.
