And its a simple question... I did a clean install last night of BF2->BF2:SF->1.4 full (Just got SF) when and how do I get my new guns? I have 5 unlocks right now cause of my rank. do I have to wait till my next promotion? (5k away to 20,000) or is there something I have to do to get them sooner?

also, I should get 5 NEW unlocks, right?

You get one unlock at your promotion while playing Vanilla. If you get that promotion while playing SF, you get 2 new weapons.

And you will not get five new weapons. They'll come at your promotion.

yes you will get 5 unlocks, and i ordered sf 2 weeks ago and got my unlocks without ranking up, try earning a medal thats what i did adn got them...

so I need to play the SF addon to get thoes unlocks? or just have it installed?

also I've seen somewhere (in these forums) that if you install SF AFTER you've been promoted some time, you get all the back unlocks.... i.e. I should get 5 during my next unlock....

gotcha.. so just play pretty much and the drums will roll?

When I bought SF, I got 2 unlocks with my promotion, and thats it.

I didn't hear of the patches changing anything, perhaps I'm wrong in my origional post?

Just play, you'll get em after a few updates, and make sure you get some time on SF.

no, I think your right, but your just a corp. so you just got your first unlock. I'm a gunny, so I've had 5 unlocks so far.

This is how the SF unlocks work.

If you have never ranked up before and you have played at least 1 round of SF, you will get 2 unlocks for every rank up.

If you first play SF after you had already gotten ONE rank up, you get 1 unlock right away, then 2 for every rank after.

If you first play SF after you had already gotten TWO ranks up, you get 2 unlocks right away, then 2 for every rank after.

you pretty much catch up with the unlocks that you missed while you didn't have SF.

If you cannot see the pattern from what I've described... then I'm sure someone else can explain it better.

to get my SF unlocks
i played a SF map for 5 mins got may basic tactical
a couple of updates later
next time i SIGNED IN to my vanilla 5 unlocks came all at once

so NO u dont have to wait till ur next rank
just get a basic badge or 2 in SF
