When playing online yesterday I noticed that persons we're ably to throw they're grenades extremely far away. Is this:

A - A bug
B - A cheat
C - A trick/special that I don't know about
D - Something else

It's a flying claymore sometime's... And my grenades are NOT getting that far. Weird...

C - You pull the pin and just hold it. It shouldn't exploded until after you throw it so you could hold onto it as long as you wish. Run in the general direction that you are throwing it in. Look up at a 45 degree angle and jump. While you are jumping, throw it, that's as far as you can throw it. A good example of the throwing distance I can think of to help let you know how well it works is in Mashtuur City, stand by the MEC artillery. You can reach the flag to the hotel from the top of the hill and since it's so far away, it blows up basically once it hits giving people little to no time to get away from it.

Great to see a practical example of the max distance, thanks.

They don't get killed much when they're holding one, that's the main thing. Plus if they're longtime dedicated 'nade spammers they'll have a high total number of kills, which also helps.

Thanks... Been experimenting on this one and it actually works.

Stil weird, firing a gun in mid-air is not possible anymore, but with grenades it is...

What I get tired of is the nade spamming.  I saw it today real bad.  About 20 of the opposing team just chucking grenades on Karkand at the bridge.  The team I was on was winning until they started that up.  Split off 2 groups to recap flags then just pinned down my team with nades...hundreds of them.  I watched about 15 people leave the server before I did.  Yep...lots of fun...NOT!

Now that's something EA/DICE should fix.  Lets be a little realistic about throwing distance of a grenade!!

Anybody here ever chuck a real grenade (or a practice one for that matter)?  The MK2 (Pineapple Frag Grenade, WWI, II, Korea) weighs 20oz (about 600g).  The newer grenades (Vietnam, Desert Storm, etc.) go about 14~16 oz (about 475g).  I really doubt you could throw it as far in real life as you can in the game.

Just MHO!

the more you do this, the more accurate you will become (im pretty beast )

and yes, its way unrealistic...grenades are not baseballs, but its great in the game

Throwing distance of grenades does not need to be changed, its fine.  16oz is 1 pound here in the states.  Its not hard to throw a 1 pound round object a good distance.....a few similarities come to mind, baseball, softball, shot put.  Although shot put ball weighs much more, people are able to throw those a good distance.

IT ain't the distance that should be changed but the throw accuracy which is way too accurate..

and also, supply packages should NOT contain grenades.
