Ive never had an interest in Star Trek, or Star Wars, or many other sci-fi films/shows, but reading about what is out among our universe is somewhat interesting to me.  This article notes that another planet has been found in another solar system about 500 light years away. Its always been taught to me when I was in school in science classes, that the stars we see in the sky, are pretty much another sun.  Which makes sense, considering there are sun-like stars that have planets orbiting them.  Obviously there are other planet like places outside of our solar system.

The way I look at it, if NASA cant engineer a robotic machine/satellite to land properly on mars (provided the parachute doesnt fall across its ramp it could be possible), I dont  think they will manage to get something that far out.

Do you think NASA or anyone will ever manage to find a way to reach/explore it (or other new planets) other than telescopes?

Well, in like 200 years, maybe we will reach the stars.
If we don't destroy the humankind before, of course.

yup.

i reckon it will all happen one day, but i'm afraid none of us would be around when that happens.

one day earth will be over populated and we'll be forced to move to other planets.

something will come along, like maybe a planet just like earth will be spotted and we'll stat living it up on there.

one day...

I think for human kind to get to another solar system will require some kind of teleportation device that we send out centurys ahead of our arrival, or the discovery of worm hole travel..

Either that or we need to send out robots or geneticly engineered super-humans(space-marines ) with the knowledge and materiel to start cloning humans once they get there..

My theory is that as long as enough people believe in something it can be done..

A university in Aarhus,Denmark have actually allready started to teleport grains of sand and waterdrops.. We just need a computer sofisticated enough to be able to track all the data of the atom“s in a human being..
