Accuracy and vehicles

I wasn't able to find any info by searching.

I'm a little curious as to the relationship between accuracy and vehicle hits. Do impacts on a vehicle count as part of your accuracy total? I realise that shots fired from vehicles don't count towards your accuracy (or at least it seems that way as BF2S has no vehicle accuracy section), but could I conceivably increase my accuracy by standing next to an enemy transport helo with an M249 and empty entire clips at point blank.

From what I can tell, accuracy only counts for infantry impacts. But it'd be good to clarify this.

I believe it counts anything that has a hitbox as a hit accuracy wise, including things like explosive barrels.

I believe it counts only when you hit an enemy or a enemy occupied vehicle or assets (uav arty...) with something big enough to cause it damage.

Nah I just spend my days whoring jets now.. It's the pilots that suck, not the combat At least, on Kubra and OCS.

There is nothing more in BF2 that pisses me off as much as people bunny hopping when im shooting at them

Regarding accuracy, I thought it counts as a hit if you get the little flash (the 4 lines pointing diagonally at the centre of your screen) around your sight after you shoot.

This'll work, yes, IF you get the hit indication so basically on anything other than armour. But I wouldn't do it to pad your accuracy, I'd do it with the intent of taking the vehicle, its driver or passengers out.

People can and do still bunny hop like mad. All it did was nerf dolphin diving.

As to the topic at hand. Yes, hitting cars/helos count as hits, and add to accuracy. So yea, you could stand by an enemy helo and shoot at it and raise your acc. But, you'll probably get killed pretty quickly by the person you were supposed to be shooting at.

If your going to do something like that, what's the point of having an accuracy stat? So your stats will look l337 while in reality you play like a noob?
