Choose what Map you like for Infantry Battles..

Please do not choose a map because you get to have more infantry battles, i want to know what kind of combat you like better..

Each map has a different style of infantry battles.... so choose a map and explain why you like them

I'm personally a Wake Island Kinda guy, Not just short, but also far ranged battles.. and every kit on Wake can be used effectively..  but.. i also really enjoy Sharqi Peninsula's infantry squabbles as well.. Just to escape some of the aircraft, and the Helis dont bother me too much.

I will choose Wake Island for the infantry experience.  You have to face all sorts of dangers like tanks, planes and helicopters, but the Island flags are close enough together for great infantry combat.  A close second to the Night Maps since they are meant for infantry to dominate, but an APC can help.

Sharqi Peninsula for me, just love the firefights at the start of the round with MEC trying to get into the city, and also the fights between flags as MEC advance and US defends.  Plus the ladders to most of the buildings add a whole new dimension.

I guess it was cool not to put Karkand in the list ... yeah yeah i get it .... its an old map, but in the beginning thats what a lot people played alot of. I don't know why every treats it like the plague. That and vehicles ... if one is so concerned about being a good infantry/deathmatch player ... go  play some real deathmatch (or aa) ...

Anyway .. having said that ... I'd have to say Wake ... suprising i used to shrug it off as a mostly flight map .. but it provides such good range of battles ....

Its just too bad the US loses all the time on that map (at least in Insomnia servers)  I think if the US still holds the TV station at the end...the bleed ticket should be a lot slower because thats just the purpose of the whole map...is to retain control of the TV station.

I played Karkand first just to at least know one map in and out and I used it just as a testing ground to get familiar with the kits and weapons.

i think I'm gonna be the only who thinks oman is a good infantry map i like warlord but only for claymore spamming. Oman is just so much fun i don't know if any of you guys seen me just be sniper and getting a bunch of knife and pistol kills some sniper rifle kills too not alot ,but if your on oman and you see me being infantry (i might be in jet) then prepare to get shanked (j/k on the shank part)

It's like the map was designed for infantry only battles, great choke points & good mounted placements, some of them suddenly make sense where they are.
A few boats is all that makes it onto this map, I still have many maps too try on I/O but this is the one I like best so far, un-like Road to Jalalabad... unless you like sniper wars which is fun every now & then.

My fav infantry battles would have to be on Rd. to Jal. or Sharqi.  On both, the flags are relatively close together, so it makes it easy to run to them without having to run a long distance.
