Seemingly BF2-Chatter is the without a doubt biggest section, i would never cleen that out but rather refine it and make a chatter section for all the subforums, because all that chatter will appear as spam in the other sub`s and major derailment to any serious topic !
A sectioncleaning is about time since the forum is over a year old now and maybe delete all post`s older than 3 months as a refresh except in the featured posts section, might ask the authors of those to update them ?
Other than that your new heading looks promising and keep the BF2S.COM section

I believe that there should be a Featured Posts section beneath both BF2 and BF2142. I am pretty certain that people will be posting stuff for both BF2 and BF2142 that are respective to each game. That way it's a bit more organized.
As for Mods and Expansions, they look good. If you feel compelled to add a Mod then you just add a subsection for another Mod. For now you might want to put an "Other" section under that area. Just so all other things can put someplace.

General Feedback should have sub-topics.. Otherwise it will be so full, you post a thread and it'll go to page 2 immediately!
Mods dedicated to each section? Don't have them across the table.
I don't know chuy. I've been here for a long time and I'm quite used to seeing it the way it is now. I recommend staying this way, but it's your site.
There should be a new members/FAQ section, where many of the sticky posts, rules, general questions, and general things the community is sick of hearing. New people could go there and hopefully answer the question themselves, or at least be easily directed to it. I think a FAQ would go a long way to reducing spam.

You'll be able to post in that section, and should a mod determine, it will move to a lower subforum. Essentially, that becomes a catch-all for any BF2 post.
