Earlier I had a problem but gotten that fixed by deleting my account and retrieving it back. Before I did that, I reinstalled the game and patches 1.3 and 1.4. After that I have not been able to keep the anti-aisling to stay. I'm not sure if its causing the lag in my gaming but ever since, my game play has been really laggggggggin like a mo fo. Plus it made a huge difference on the appearance of flat edges. Please o PLEASE help me. My system specs are 250GB HD, 1GB ram, 3.0 Dual core Intel, and a 6800GS. I also have 5M DSL (wired). So I'm like WTF on this one.

No idea on the anti-aisling but....

If you've just re-installed and your drives were badly fragged than all those large BF2 files will be fragged to death - that can/will cause lag - so just something to check.

what do you mean by AA to stay? put it to the value you want, hit apply, exit the game, log back in, join a game (do the shader adjusting bit) and it should stay at the specified value
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

I've already defragged my system, ran anti-spyware/spam/virus. Done a disk clean up as well just for the hell of it.

I've done that many number of times. I've tried just 2x and 4x and it comes back with nothing.

My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\there will be folders like 001 and 002... on the login screen, if your main account is first on the account list it'll be 001, if its the second it'll be 002 etc\Video.con

open that file with Notepad and go to this line:

VideoSettings.setAntialiasing

and copy and paste the following line over it:

VideoSettings.setAntialiasing 4Samples

Save, then right clicko n the file and hit Properties. Check the Read-Only box and hit OK. It SHOULD keep it saved.
