Dear BF2 community, I wish to confide in you, my friends, a certain personal demon which I possess. Some may wish to call it weakness and ingratuitous sympathy on my behalf, but to those people I can only apologise that we do not share the same views and values.

By nature, I can confidently say I'm forgiving and kind, and I believe that chivalry is not a dead following. While playing, I don't punish for teamkills because I don't see the point. If I walked in front of someone while they were engaging an enemy, that's my fault. If someone throws a grenade and kills an enemy as well as me, I forgive them, because punishing them has not effect whatsoever except let the punisher let off some steam. I don't have much steam buildup in the first place, so I don't punish others. I find it's rewarding to forgive others, and when other people do the same for me, I'm very grateful.

All this has however lead to one certain trait I'm bewildered about - sympathy for those faring worse than me. If I kill a corporal or staff sergeant, and then upon checking their stats find that they have 3 points, -3 team points, 2 kills and 11 deaths, I feel really bad for killing them, because I still remember the times when I would die the moment I spawned, and the times when I would definitely lose if I was in an one on one situation. I just find the fact that mowing someone really unskilled down before they even realise this object on the ground in front of their feet was shooting them to ribbons is very unsatisfying.

There was another thread on this forum about the meanest things you'd ever done. I've shot guys who were one metre from the top of the ladder on that really tall building at Jalalabad, and that probably counts as a really mean thing to do, but I can't help feel sorry for them.

Anyway, I just wanted to share that bit of emoness with all of you. There's no point flaming me and calling me a sissy, at the end of the day I will still have a clear conscience whatever you say.

If ever you're climbing a really tall ladder, or swimming a really long stretch of sea, and just before you get to the end you get killed, and if then you see a message from the other team with someone saying "sorry abt that", it's probably me.

See you guys later. Thanks for listening/reading.

Jeez! What a sissy!  Hehehe... I'm totally kidding.  I feel ya, bro.  I don't NOT kill them, that would be dumb.  But I do want them to get their act together and put up a good fight.  There isn't much enjoyment (for me) in mowing down someone who's hasn't quite figured out WASD yet or someone who's stuck and can't figure out that they're in "talk" mode.  (although there isn't something funny about killing someone and seeing, "WWAASSSSSSAAAADDDDDDD" after it)  But yeah, bro, there are a few of us out there who get what you're saying.

I felt that way playing World of Warcraft.  If I came across someone that was tagged for PVP I would attack, but if all they did was run away & not fight then I'd feel guilt about killing them.

Devil's Perch, Leviathan, Night Flight. But yeah, the screenshot wasn't made on any of these maps. Instead, my graphics were fucked up...

Most likely in the warehouse on Leviathan. That might not be the sky, but the darkness of the inside of a building. Seeing as its a US flag in the screen, it can only be Leviathan or Devils Perch.

EDIT: Ducksteina posted just before...so that is complete bollocks now

On topic.....yeah, well, you are alone mate. If I kill someone whos almost at the top of the ladder, I just laugh to myself.
