Volvo 480 ES (not the turbo edition) 0-100kph (62mph) 9,3s and tops out at 190+kph. Electric windows/mirrors and even pop-up headlights.
Try the old 8-series?aardfrith wrote:
How many BMWs have pop-up headlights, eh?

I've heard that if you ask M Sport nice enough and throw some more cash there way they can fit the new M5/M6 engine and gearbox in to the M3... All that power running to the rear wheels, you would have to have big cahoonas for that one.Sl4y3r wrote:
with the new M3 man!!! Its hard to get much more than 100hp per litre, without any chargers n stuff.SkoobyDu wrote:
Im not sure if BMW will go over the 400hp´s?????
BMW M5
Type 5.0 Liter Gas
Drivetrain Front Engine / RWD
Valvetrain 40-Valve DOHC
Cylinders Vee
Cylinder Configuration 10
Displacement 4,941 cc
Horsepower(HP) 507
Torque(LBs-FT.) 383.5 @ 6100 RPM
Redline 8250 RPM
M5 and M6 have the same engine. The new M3 will have a modified M5/6 engine. V8 though.
I´ve done 0-100km/h on Nürburgring Testcenter in 5.7 with my dad´s M6 coupe. As far as I know, the only BMW thats has a under 5.0 in the papers is the Z3 M-Roadster 343hp and the new Z4 M coupe

The DSG gearbox isn't all that people think it is, I have it on mine, yeah it gives a fantastic and quick shift in auto or paddle shifting. But off the line it's just far too slow to pick up. By the time you're off and running manual cars are already well ahead, It's just a good job that the speed and timing of the actual change give you chance to pull their advantage back!Sgt.Scream.MDK wrote:
My problem with BMWs is the body roll. Yeah a M5 may edge out a RS4 or RS6, but try and take a 90 degree turn at a high rate of speed, that M5 is gonna struggle (Quattro FTW!).
Also, R10 > all. Saw it at the 12 hours of Sebring this year, and that thing books! Its also super quiet compared to other ALMS cars (Diesel Power). If only RS4s and RS6s came with the A3s DSG, that would be a car to be reckoned with.
Are you joking me....SkoobyDu wrote:

There is no lag in the BMW SMG shifting. It is the same kind Ferrari's and F1 cars use.pedigreeuk wrote:

My car is a luxury sedan that happens to go very fast and perform well on the twisties but there is absolutely no way with my steptronic transmission or weight will I EVER be able to compete with a high-end sportsbike.Sl4y3r wrote:
yeah, could be. Although this bike sucks imho Hm, I wonder if BMW330i´s car also can beat a R1, CBR, ZX-R, GSX-R and stuff too for sure it can, yiha!
The DSG improves significantly if you use the launch control but I was on about in everyday usageBMW330i wrote:

No way. AND this is a Z3M Coupe, not a Z4M.BMW330i wrote:

I cannot believe the Z4M can outhandle a bike... insanity.
Is that done on the Nordschleife or the Südschleife?BMW330i wrote:

Splitting milliseconds, but thats like 19 times slower.Wikipedia wrote:
The DSG takes about 8 milliseconds to upshift. Compare that to the SMT in the Ferrari Enzo, which takes 150 ms to upshift

I've owned my bimmer since 2003 and the only problem I've had with it was a faulty transmitter in the dash...Gawwad wrote:

this makes me wonder!!! In former posts it seemed like your car will burn everything, well although you´ve never said something like this, this is the only content I can see in your posts. On the other side, I´ve read somewhere above that your 330i should outperform a Honda Civic Type-R. Well, not at all, and with a steptronic in absolutley no way. Type-R´s acceleration is way better than your cars, futher Type-R is not a fatfass like your´s. Topspeed will be the domain for your car. On a racetrack, a Type-R will own you badly! (and this has nothing to do with skills)BMW330i wrote:
