Okay, I've had enough! Has anyone discovered a way to stop the EA "message/advertisement of the day" splash screen from coming up? The 2142 announcement broke it for me (new product push when old one is a buggy PoS) and on top of that I'm tired of wasting time while it downloads.
What kind of internet connection do you have that it takes it actual TIME to load one of those pictures.....it shouldn't affect performance at all..
I have a great connection. If it wastes a millisecond, I want it off.
But more so - I just don't want to see their ads anymore. They have taken great technology and continually made it worse by not fixing the things that were broken from day one and adding still other buggy features.

I wish they would only display it when it changes, im fed up with seeing it too
however you do know that you can just ignore it and click whatever button you want (probably multiplayer) without having to close it every time?

I dont think there is anyway too turn it off. just ignore it like i wasent there. If you click on one of the bottons on the top it dissapers just like you would click X, so just ignore it.
