I'm sure you're not the worst player in BF2 and honestly, who cares if you are. As long as you're having a good time what difference does it make. However, if you are trying to figure out how to judge your skill level, a common measurement that I know many people use is K/D ratio, with SPM usually being the next stat to measure skill. After looking at your stats I would say that they certainly aren't pretty but trust me I know the feeling. I was the same way for a long time and just started trying to improve my stats over the past few months.

I guarantee that half the time your squad leader is just hitting "Page Up" to whatever the commander is ordering, and your commander isn't always going to know exactly what's going on in your sector. So commander sends an order to attack a flag, your squad leader hits "Page Up" so you go running in. The problem is, that the rest of your squad isn't always going to cover your back. Plus, even if you're intent on following orders regardless of what your squad is doing, you shouldn't always take a direct route. Don't just go straight for the flag. Make your way to the area, but keep to the outer edge of the flag area, look around and assess the situation...Figure out how many, if any, enemy troops are around you, where they are, what they're doing and go from there. Is it best to take them out, or can you take the flag without them seeing you? I would say try and kill them everytime if it's at all possible, but if you do you have to be ready for them to respawn before you've fully capped the flag.
Really, for me it was a matter of figuring out some tactics. I literally would just run and gun non stop. In fact, the only time I would stop was when I was in a fire fight...which is the worst time to stop moving. Keep moving at all times, only run when you need to or you won't have any sprint endurance when you need it. Like someone else said, play some time on expert single player (which is still significantly easier than live server play) to work on your aim. Always shoot for chest and head. If using an automatic weapon a lot of people prefer to aim chest and let the recoil bring the aim up to the head. But make sure you only shoot in short bursts otherwise the accuracy goes down the shitter. At longer ranges use single shot if possible. When your life is not in danger take a minute to stand about 10-20 feet away from a wall and just unload some ammo into it. Watch where the shots hit and it should give you a good idea of the accuracy with a given weapon after so many shots.
I'm still not all that great, but it seems like you and I are very similar...but I started trying to improve a lot later than you which is why I know have almost 36,000 points and still don't have a 1.0 k/d (but very close now. But at first I was all about earning badges and getting ribbons and didn't pay attention to the other stuff like k/d, spm, accuracy, and w/l ratios. If you get all of those stats good, than badges and ribbons and everything else will fall into place.
