OK i used the "search" button and this thread has not been created before (i hope)

This thread is for everyone to post a tip that they have used and used it with great results.

On any map/vehicle/kits/equipment, everything !!!

It can be more than one tip(s) if you like, but you must back it up with a reason

tip 1 - jets - fly by

Bind fly by and cockpit view to something easy to reach. Now, whenever a jet goes out of your view, switch to fly by and you can see him again. Quickly switch between cockpit and flyby again to refresh your view and you can constantly see an enemy jet

tip 2 - avoiding missles

F18's always dodge missles if you do a loop upwards. MiG's are missle magnets by comparison, but as they turn faster than any other jet that faces them in BF2, you can easily stay ahead of the enemy through proper camera usage. F-35's are a lost cause, and J-10's do it automatically.

tip 3 - medic - carpeting

If you're facing enemies far away, it's useful to lay down at least one medpack to lie on while shooting. The medpack will completely heal your first hit (unless if it's a one shot one kill) thus, if you lay down three or four medpacks, you can camp a lot more effectively

tip 4 - medic - proper gun usage

Don't use the L85. avoid the g36e. grab an AK, aim at the head, and spray. To actually kill stuff with an m16, it's vital that you keep your crosshairs on the target while shooting. because the m16 has a slower ROF than the g36e, you're more likely to miss, thus people think it's shit.

tip 5 - choppers - solo TV-ing

you can fire a missle almost instantly after switching, but you have to time it right. If you can't do it and need 2 seconds before shooting, hang your chopper sideways to the left, slightly downwards, and your view will be stable for a few seconds.

tip 6 - armor - using smoke

if you get out to repair your tank, pop smoke to protect yourself from snipers and such.

tip 7 - armor - avoiding spec ops

don't stand still if you're even remotely near enemy territory. Simply always keep moving and you cannot be C4'd.

tip 8 - jets - taking down choppers

NEVER. use missles. NEVER. slow down. ALWAYS. avoid the chopper sooner rather than later. ALWAYS. use guns. You can take down a chopper in a second if you hit the cockpit.

tip 9 - choppers - TVíng armor

if you find that you're frequently missing by a tiny bit, just calm down a little while aiming. Just take one or two clicks. Look at where your crosshair is, instead of frantically clicking everywhere.

Hey I remember you 7th falcon. We were playing sharqi, and the americans had one more flag left and everyone was saying "let them keep that flag". And you went in and capped it.

OK, back on topic. If you're a squad leader with a full squad, and you're behind enemy lines attacking a well defended point, DO NOT RUN IN WITH YOUR GUNS BLAZING. You're the mobile spawn point, let your squad be able to spawn on you, this way you can give your team a really good chance.

Sorry but the G36E is teh uber pwnage. Cap. . .cap. . .dead. Cap. . .cap. . .dead. Accurate as hell and 3 shot burst puts people down in a hurry.

When being in the gunner seat of a chopper:

1) Spot things, whoever is driving will usually be looking front, it's your job to go "Hey look! AA! Run for it!" or go "Hm...that Tank sure looks like it needs a TV Missile."

2) Most idiot chopper pilots will charge right into a enemy copter, a smart one will float a bit higher and let you TV it, recognize this chance to bag 2 kills (or 1)

3) If the enemy copter doesn't see where you are yet, don't use your gun.

4) (Does not apply to MEC) Since your gun does no splash damage and require direct hits to injure the enemy, blaze away! If you see a something that you can't TV missile, shoot at it, shoot at it until it goes out of range or it explodes. Particularly infantry, even if you miss, the infantry will start running far away.

4a) (MEC piece) Your gun is the only thing that does decent splash damage in flying in the air, exploit this advantage by not just spraying and praying. If you are going to infantry behind a wall, don't hit the cover, hit BESIDE it, over ir or the other wall if there's another one behind the cover, the splash damage will take care of them nicely.

5) Leading a target: Sometimes, you will see a speeding Humvee, Vodnik or DPV speed past, shoot at it, shoot about 1 meter (depends on vehicle speed and your speed) in front of it and it will literally drive into your bullets. Or at least it will prompt it to stop and shoot at you, or panic and crash.

* When flying with a gunner, line him up.

* The shock paddles have better reach than a knife.

* When flying with a gunner, line him up.

* If you kill a guy, chances are a suicidal medic will throw himself in harms way. So step back, wait for the medic and let him revive his teammate then kill 'em both.

* When you use armor, please be engineer.

* Karkand have more flags than "Hotel".

* When someone shouts "Hey! I need a ride!". They probably need a ride.
