I play of a lot of Dragon Valley, and as most probably know, the sky is the same exact impossible color as the crosshairs.  This makes guiding a TV Guided missle to its destination a retarded guess.

My question is:  Is there any kind of mod, or simple in game console fix to change the color of those crosshairs?

i don't know, but it would help A LOT to have diff color crosshair.

Yet, knowing EA, they would consider it hacking because "it gives you an advantage over other players".

Also, if it modified the game files, Punkbuster would probably kick you so i would have to say no, there is no fix.

I've often wondered about this...I thought maybe it was because I use an LCD monitor and the crosshairs get washed out by all the white in the sky...any CRT users want to chime in?  Is it just as impossible to see those crosshairs regardless of the monitor you're using?

I use a CRT, and it's fine on most maps, but if the sky is anywhere near white (Dragon Valley, etc) you are aiming blindly.

There has to be something to fix this :l

Hold tab while your tv missile is flying and you'll see where the crosshairs are in the background. You have to act fast, let go of tab, correct direction, hit tab again and see where you are, rinse and repeat until you hit your target.

It is a total bitch to do, but makes you that much better.

Yeah happens to me all the time, but when you switch back to guns then back to tv the target is back in the centre is it not?

Yes, it auto centers if you switch to the gun. But, if you switch to the gun while firing off a tv, though I've never done it, I doubt you can switch back to tv mode in time to correct your shot and hit your target.

I believe Dragon Valley is a level which is suppose to be considered a "hard" level, so therefore it is not an easy shiny day on wake.

Its nice to have a little challenge, that map makes it alot funner for pilots and gunners...takes a little more fighting that way..but if u really wanna get fast kills, just stay above and be sneaky, jus wait for the target to get near a hill or something, shooting tv down in that map is alot easier.

i mean seriously, how could u not even have a POSITIVE heli ratio....do u fly with your right hand on the stick and with your left thumb up your ass?

In that map you have to be above your enemy including choppers to really guide your missles, anything from screwing around with the color etc. is considered a hack and as for modding i dont think it will be ranked.

Reminds me of what you do with your pet dog. Only your hand isn't on a stick and it isn't a thumb up your ass.

theres no way for you to know what my dog and i do or don't do....but nice try.  I mean your heli stats are shit but the OP, JESUS CHRIST, theres no excuse to have a neg heli ratio unless you have down syndrome.
