I pilot and still maintain an average KD:R in a chopper.
At the OP, quickly tap the scoreboard button (tab by default) and you can see the crosshair on the scorebaord. Also if you were tapping it, you can see the heli. its hard to get used to.
Before i knew/mastered the technique, i went solo tving on a local server and typed renderer.drawhud 0 into console. That makes all the hud go away. Also the crosshair dissapears as well. So i just practiced knowing where the center is, and how to guide tvs with no crosshair.
