After having played with wireless for a year, we decided to swap the computers over. For a week, the good comp was wired, and it made such a massive difference - the framerate was at least double, no more "problem with your conenction", sniping moving targets was suddenly effortless.

And now I have wireless once again.

I've gamed for a few years with a wireless network. It takes me a while to setup the antenna but it's fine as long as no one moves anything. Move it an inch and I loose 30% of the signal strength. Router is in the basement and I'm on the 2nd floor.

the download speed isnt bad on wifi, its the upload... so you see the guy roll around the corner in real time, but when you click to shoot, it happens at about "You will respawn in 8 seconds."

WiFi is so much more convenient than wired for my house, but dear god the random network outages suck. When the router's fine, it says it's broadcasting fine, but the computer doesn't pick up the signal.

If I was the only person in this house though, then I'd go to wired in a heartbeat. Straight to the FiOS ONT.

Im wireless, and I get afew connection problems, but its not that bad, and no worse than my original hard wire connection was. Granted I wired that up and it was sh*t.

Do your own Satellite with that to. O_O 108 mbps damn man. What the download rate in kb/s or does it goes up to the crazy amount of 108 mbps?

Anyway Wireless kinda sucks on most online games what I know.

i also have wireless and i always have a high ping, even on european/german servers (between 60 and 120). the rooter is in my flatmates room next to my room, about 5 to 6 meters away from my computer. i heard of fast pass(?). would that help?
