I think it's funny enough. If you find it offensive they you won't buy a car off them but they must figure they won't be doing too much harm to their sales by running the ads.

It reminds me of a story, I think from the US, about a gym who put up a billboard ad saying "The aliens are coming and they'll eat the fat ones first!"
