I know that there are a few of us out there. I would like to be able to use thread for mac users to post problems/solutions or software/apps that you have found useful. Hopefully this thread will help people who are new to macs as well as those who have been there from the beginning.

Also PC guys please refrain from flaming this thread. Anyways I hope we can use this a jumping point for sharing and exchanging ideas.

if you have one of the latest intel macs you can run bootcamp which will partition your mac to dual boot both os x and windows. i run bf2 of my macbook pro and it runs fine.

I like Macs, I used them for the first 10 years of my working career when I was a Graphic Designer. I could never fault them, nothing really went wrong with them and when it did it was more like hardware failure. Working with PC's now and its not quite the same...

Viva le Macs!!!

excuse my french

well i just hope we could compile a usefull list of apps that everyone should have. i know that at the top of my list would be appzapper. i think it is the most essential app anyone new to the os x enviroment should install.

Does anyone run Mac OS X86?

I've been considering it.

Nice idea here.

I'm an Apple Developer, plus I handle QA and Tech Support all day at my job...so I can be of service when it comes to questions about Mac OS X and Apple hardware.

I've used Macs since 1986, my family owns 12 of them, and I personally own 2, and I use 6 of them at work every day.

well i am not sure exactly what you getting. i think you mean running a hacked version on qualifying computer. yes i have OS x 10.4.7 running on my dell dimension 8300. all though it works well enough to handle all music and occasional email and browsing i would not push it beyond that. it is not hard to install if you fallow some of the guides posted over www.osproject.org.

even though i am a official pc fanboy, i'll wish you guys good luck.
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
