I don't think it's going to be that big of a deal. After you post it, check your post, which you probably do anyway. If it's inappropriate, then edit, delete your post. So it's there for like 4 seconds. I highly doubt that someone is going to see it in that time.
And if they do then I have a question, Would you get banned if you picture is up for, like I said, about 4 seconds, and then it's deleted. I realize that thinking objectively, then yes it would, but would anyone actually ban a picture being there for that short of time?

ok, so i didn't read all 3 pages, honestly i got to the bottom of page 1 and saw the quick post box, so.. basically webmasters can be dicks and review their logs to see who is hot linking to their images and stealing their bandwidth, then upload an image in the place of the url that you had already linked to of something like, hidethearm, goatse, lemonparty, tubgirl, etc.

To test to see if an image is hotlinked, post it, then hit control + F5 (hard refresh). This will reload the image from the site (rather than your cache) and you can see what everyone else sees (usually).
Then just make sure to delete/edit your post if the image results in a non-allowed hotlinking image.

I don't replace hotlink'd pictures with porn. I prefer the 1 px by 1000px image that matches the background. So when people come to the site theire like, "why is this page all messedup?" or "what's with the blank space onhe webpage?"

Ok I read enough. For those who seem to understand hotlinking, please explain how checking your post right after you submit it will prevent a webmaster from changing the picture at a later date??? It doesn't...so that's not a solution.
Fortunately I've never really had to deal with hotlinkers myself (1 exception below), but why do some of you say webmasters are dicks for responding in such a way? It's theft people, whether you want to accept it or not. The only pseudo hotlinking I've had to deal with was yahoo image search directly linking to pictures which caused my bandwidth to go from a measly avg 100 MB a month (yes it's a personal site with almost no traffic) to something like 5 GB of data in less than a week! I had to take my site down to keep it from going over the limit and thus costing me more money that I had already paid for the month.
If I found individuals (or businesses) hotlinking to pictures on my site, then frankly they open themselves up to it and deserve it. No different than if they took money right out of my wallet.

Real sites deny you from the get go if its an issue for them, which is how all of them should be.
getting permission from a site everytime you post a picture sucks a wee bit, but i supose it's worth saving it and hosting it yourself rather than a ban...

Almost none of the forum visitors care about the image, but it has to load in full every time anyone visits that page.

Oh, and repins_bib is right: if you don't get permission to use an image, it's not safe to assume that just because it's not pr0n now that it won't become pr0n later.
