Yes, I think that will fix it. But I don't really play sniper much so I can't confirm for sure. Maybe some good sniper like NYTE that post here often could tell you.

The one second kill is either luck or aimbot. Because even if you aim for the right portion of the face it doesn't always guarantee 1 shot kill (with the right weapon).

Don't forget the UAV. I always leap around the corner and shoot people... that I already know are there 'cos they've been spotted or UAV'd. If they don't have similar benefits, it's very hard for them to even think about reacting as quickly.

It's also easy to headshot people if they come out from a corner especially if they use a G36E that's quite an accurate gun and also you may be prone so if they are decent it isn't a challenge

A faster comp with high settings, etc will increase your gameplay, KD/SP by alot. I play with low settings. It is getting very boring fast. I want a new video card to play at med/high settings ASAP. Then maybe I won't get as bored of BF2. It seems to be such a waste of life so far. I have a 2nd Liet. account and a Captain account close to Major soon. If anyone wants my 2nd Liet. account PM me.

its actually a simple tactic what i do is jump, crouch, prone really fast and shoot(precisely for the head) i kill them in like 4 shots with the PKM

Big thing to help with those kills, is start shooting before you go prone, makes a world of difference when your in those close fights.

And like it was said before, use the UAV, it's your best friend, even if your prone or standing it doesn't matter, I have the advantage of knowing your thereand I'm usually shooting before I realize your standing or proning.

Hit boxes / bullet registration problem or bad aim? I think a bit of both. Either way I hate using sniper kit.

also, i notice you get bad hit rego, how fast is your internet? My rego got a bit better when i upgraded.

^I think that may have been the problem or at least part of the problem. I was playing on an Aus server I had around 100 Ping. Usually I get 40 ping on NZ servers.

i play on low and i do well, just make sure you turn "view distance" up to max.

and practice makes perfect, you have to look at what kit the other people are using to shoot you with, if it's support, it's best to take cover, and wait for them to come to you, as it will then take them more time to go prone and shoot, in which you can end them.

like i said, practice makes perfect, you'll soon find your way

Practice, play on a server with a good ping (50 or less is best), choose a good accurate weapon with a high DPS (G36E triple burst), get a comfortable key config, don't panic when you spot an enemy and learn to aim for the upper chest. I notice when I'm playing and not relaxed (or pissed) I'm much less effective and I got killed much more easily. When I'm relaxed and focus on concentrating I do much much better

Those are probably the most important elements to consider when attempting to be effective in infantry combat.

Could be a bug to, at a time it was impossible to headshot somebody out of the vodniks turret.
These days i still experience "invincible" players in the mounted machine gun at us main in karkand.

I have the worst hit rego, After the new patch, Ive been throtteld so im like really laggy, over 50% of my shots end up being white smoke(close hits but misses) and end up being killed and just ragequit the server when noobs kill me because ive shot them double the amount needed but still die, so i need to wait till it gets back up before i can stop going ape shit about the game because it really pisses me off atm, I can't play sniper because its just bs i never hit a moving target unless i aim ahead by alot because of the dam lag shit...

Its just timing, aim, and really knowing a map. UAV's also help a lot. If you zoom your map in and the commander has a UAV over you, you can predict exactly where the enemy is and just fire before you're even really in position.

Some players have a very good knowledge of the map they're on, and know the typical spots where people will be. Combine that with fast twitch reflexes and you'll end up doing very well.

I play with a terrible system by comparison to what some folks run BF2 on, all on low settings and the oldschool basic Microsoft optical mouse and I do that kind of stuff a lot. There's more to gaming than just pulling the trigger. You have to set your opponent up in situations where you have an advantage and when you can do that you'll be the one laughing while other people scream HAX!!!!111one~

As far as sniping headshots goes...I have expert sniper, and I headshot a whole lot. It's not easy though, make no mistake. It's well known that the models and their hitboxes aren't always synchronized, that's nothing new. But if you're firing at a stationary target you can get a headshot almost every time once you learn how each rifle acts. The grey puffs aren't uncommon and they're frustrating, but stick with it and you'll learn where to aim. Also, trying to headshot someone while they're running across your screen, not toward or away from you, is much harder. Surely not impossible, but the hitbox is more significantly out of line in that situation. When you're lined up with someone it may just be behind them and you'll get the headshot anyway, whereas someone running across your line of fire may have their hitbox behind them, resulting in the miss.

I dunno man, maybe I couldn't see well enough due to the quality of the vid, but nothing looked all that odd there. You're taking quick shots and you hit when you were lined up properly. All the misses I saw look like the misses I make when I'm playing. Just rushed and not aimed properly. Not saying you weren't doing well, since that's a tough position to be in, and you were doing the right thing by acquiring targets quickly and taking cover, but you have to expect that you'll miss half your shots when you're snapping to targets and firing rather than lining them up carefully. Again, that's not because you're not skilled with it, it was because you weren't in a position to be able to line up shots more carefully without being killed.

Basically u'll get better as u play the game more, u start bunny hopping proning etc, but the main thing is u need to turn all sensetivity on bf2 to 10, otherwise u wont have a chance against someone who has on 10 and u have it on 2....
