are these vehicles considered as armor. does time in them count towards my armor badge?

No, they actually count as anti-air. Only tanks and apc's count as armor.

well some people told me that apc's were not armor, but anything you cant shot with your gun to me is armor. but you guys have been playing longer, just needed to settle a bet with another player. thanks for the quick response.
I think mobile AA should be categorized as armor now that the requirements for Air Defense have been nerfed. 400 hrs is alot of time to spend in armor for expert. Controlling a chopper takes more skill yet we only need like 150 hrs for Expert Helo. And the Armor Combat Medal is achievable 4 times when the Expert Armor Badge becomes available.
