It happened to me too.....its probably downtime for maintence or some other BS excuse.
This just happened to me too, is it only temporary?

This update is to inform you that there will be extended downtime tonight while performing a maintenance upgrade on BFHQ. In order to prepare for the launch of Battlefield 2: Special Forces, our weekly maintenance window is being extending this evening. Downtime for BFHQ will be from 12AM to 4AM PT. During this time you will not be able to login to play the game. We apologize in advance for this inconvenience and hope you understand.

Doesn't look like any stats are recording, despite being able to log in. The stats update tool on bf2tracker doesn't work at the moment meaning that the BFHQ stats servers are not contactable. So game servers won't be able to upload at the moment.

You may not be able to contact the stats database for your stats in BFHQ or any other method, but that does not mean ranked play time wont be logged.
I'm sure the system is still recording it and you'll find it appended onto your stats when it comes back on.

BFHQ is available again.
Any play during this down time should have been recorded and uploaded by the servers - it works here in Australia. I also verified this through bf2tracker.
