dont know how most players became better, but for me, and this might help you too, ( did this a while back, so dont do it anymore) i followed a high ranked player, maybe from first sergeant and above, and pretty much i was annoying the shit out of them, i always sticked with them, following them around the whole damn map, see how they play, sometimes they were nice enough, we got into a squad and did some teamwork, other told me to fuck off or just didnt care. and i stopped doing that right when i reached i think it was either corpral or staff sergeant, So this might help you or not, it did to me.

Most officers I see while playing on my clan's server don't impress me.
squading up with experienced (higher ranked) players and just trying to help them do their thing helped me out heaps in the early days...

Depends on who the higher ranked player is.
One of the ss boys, It'd be huge to be helped by them.
Firestorm, on the other hand, it would just plain suck.
So I think it depends on who. But if there a "good" player, there's no doubt it'll help you out.

no i went in those on my own time, got some nice scores too
I tried that once. I tracked down volx in his diving days. The guy was like some kind of a legend for me until I saw him play. I was so disappointed I never tried it again.
If you found a regular good player though, it might be a good idea. I have always wanted to see Bushviper play.

Not really. If you go out and played instead of watching other people play, you can get better.

i got better by watching video form this wesite,i got much better at gunning with the tv by watching slicknic's tutorial video,my sniper skills went up when i watched dont_be_ss's video.and how to bomb with the planes by senmaster.

i can tear those top ten fools singlehandedly.. i seen them play, all they do is exploit the combat system.. they make me laugh. none of those top 10 are a worthy match against me.
