Ok so I have 2 questions.
1.Is there anything in this system that is not compatible or missing or should be changed?
2. Is it better to buy 2 x 2g memory sticks, or  4 x 1g (or 4 x 2g if it will be that much faster)?

Processor- Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz LGA 775 Processor Model BX80557E6600
Motherboard - ASUS P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe Socket T (LGA 775) NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16 ATX Intel Motherboard
Video Card - Albatron 7950GX2 Geforce 7950GX2 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card
Memory - ???
Hard Drive - Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS (Perpendicular Recording Technology) 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
Sound Card - Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS Platinum 70SB035000003 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card
CD drive - SAMSUNG 18X DVD±R DVD Burner With 12X DVD-RAM Write Black E-IDE/ATAPI Model SH-S182D
Fan - COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 CAC-T05-UW Black Aluminum Bezel, SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Power - RAIDMAX RX-630A ATX12V/ EPS12V 630W Power Supply

Thanks

1. Sorry, havent a clue.
2. Ive heard the dual RAM kits are faster from a few people. so - 4 x 1GB, although maybe you should go for the 4 x 2GB as you may save money in the long run as that wont require upgrading for quite a while.

Im just an amateur at best when it comes to hardware, hope that little bit helps you out.

Kits just mean they were tested together .. as long as you have identical RAM you should be fine. I stay with the kits for assurance.

Get a E6800 if you can.
Get a Raptor 150G/b @ 10,000rpm for main, and then a big 320gb like you've got down for storage.
If you're gonna SLI your video cards, two 7900's will be just as good as 2 7950's, but one vs one, the 7950 is better.

I think this thread is to show off your rig....so "bravo".  Apparently you have more money than God.  Case in point: that video card is a complete waste of money.  The 79xx series is near its end of production.  Plop down just $100 and get a 7600GT or even just a 7900GT for about $200 and get a sweet DirectX 10 video card when they come out next year.

You probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between 2x2Gb, 4x1Gb or even 4x2Gb. Seriously, the differences are marginal at best. It's also a not a case of one setup simply being faster than another - the actual performance you'll get comes down to many factors, the ram chip timings for example - if all other things are equal, then all of the three options (2x2Gb, 4x1Gb or 4x2Gb) will give essentially identical performance (the only very very very minor differences being down to very very very minor physical differences between the different physical ram chips).

If you can afford 4x2Gb - sure go with 4x2Gb - I'll be sweet, I think you won't actually be able to use all that ram until Vista comes out, but it'll still be sweet.

4x1Gb will fill all available ram slots, yes? So, if you want to upgrade in the future, you will have to swap out one (or ideally two) 1Gb simm(s) for one (or ideally two) 2Gb simm(s)...

2x2Gb gives you a good amount of fast ram (all of which XP will use) and leaves you with the option of upgrading by installing one (or ideally two) more 1Gb or 2Gb simms in the future...

actually no it isnt. And this is only going to be $2200. I dont have more money than god, I have been working 30 hours a week for 2 months just for this.  And i think i may just get a 7600gt like you said

You might as well say "get a cheaper processor and wait until Core 2 Quad comes out" or "get a cheaper motherboard and wait until Quad SLI is cheaper" or whatever else - you're chasing a never ending rainbow!

The video card he lists will be just fine, hell it'll be more than 'just fine' for a good while yet - even when nvidias first DX10 card comes out, even when vista ships, even when DX10 finally gets released no games developer in their right mind is going to wake up the next day and say "Right, DX10 is here, we no longer support DX9 at all"!

bobby: work to your budget - and get the best spec you can get for that budget - don't try to chase 'tomorrows tech' - you'll never win.

Are dx10 cards going to be able to play dx9 games (like bf2), if so, i might just wait until they come out and stick with a 6600gt like he suggested

Wow that's almost the same as my computer, which I ordered from Newegg about 2 days ago. I suggest getting a different motherboard that isn't that SLI one, because the memory standard is DDR2 667, and other ASUS motherboards have standards of DDR2 800 RAM. Also, you don't need to spend too much money on that video card, it's not worth it. Just get a 7900 GT for around 200-250 dollars, and that can run almost all games on high, with full settings.

Edit: Also get two or more of those drives, and run them both in RAID 0 using the motherboard. It will increase performance by a lot!

And if your budget doesn't allow two 360Gb drives, you could even drop the HDD size, even down to 180Gb and still get plenty of fast HDD space.
