it's a good mouse, much better than the G5 because with that mouse you can only change your DPI while gaming with the razer you can adjust your sensitivity while gaming and that great

Doesn't the diamondback top out at 1600 dpi, whereas the G5 goes to 2000? And once set up, the G5 has up to 5 dpi settings that are hot changeable during gaming.

Do try to keep up.

Copperhead goes to 2000 too and it has 19 different sensitivity settings

Copperhead FTW!

EDIT: and 5 different profiles for different games

No argument, the copperhead is a nice mouse. I've heard it's a little small though, is that right?

I love the 518. I would've bought the G5 if they hadn't gotten rid of a few buttons.
I use all the buttons on the mouse and i don't see the reason they took the "forward" button out.

And you can adjust sinsivity at any point with the 518. It really is a great addition!

You don't have to use them all, but you can change it more smoothly depending what your doing

well, i do suppose it depends on preference but to me i think around 5 is enough, playing with all of the settings in game is not good.

Oh, and I really have no Idea why People are all like "Ohh 2000 DPi!! w00t for meh!" I only use the 800 on my MX518 and I can pwn fine. Haveing much more than that is a bit much.
Hah, I even tried putting the DPi up to 2000 DPi on my friends mouse, and in CSS he turned around thrice for every length of his mousemat, which is dumb, if you ask me...

With the G5 you can setup a different profile for every program you have.  IMHO it is just about personal preferance.  Different strokes for different folks.  I like my G5. I just wish I was using it. Only three more days and my pc will be running again.

i have a razer copperheard. and its a great mouse and all, but ive already had one die on me. the laser just stops working.  a lot of people have had this problem too.  i got my 2nd for free, so when this one dies im getting a g5

I suppose compared to an old roller-ball mouse the upgrade to optic is a big step, but I bought a G5 and - while the grip is comfy and I do enjoy the customized weighting - I actually had to relearn gameplay a bit to cope with the new settings.

At least it features an attractive brushed aluminum finish...

had a 510 and a 518 and both were exceptional ... got a g7 now, one downside is one less thumb button but no leads no stress, wouldn't go back to wired now!
