It should be Rank does not = respect, the first few players on the top 10 list a karkand hors... bet they
can't play any other map.

f1r3starter is the only 1 with skill in the hol game as he has the well rounded stats, and not a 1 map
played 9,000 times jerk off.

I think you peak around 80,000.

Yes you can, it's easy: rank means nothing

Sure some high rankers are bloody amazing but a lot of officers aren't great so rank itself means nothing, in the sense that it isn't a guarantee of anything: skill, courtesy, general awareness or whatever.

I've had my ass handed to me on a plate by a 1st sgt. One of the }JAG{ crew, rank can mean something - but 8/10 times it doesn't.

Just look at ECR.RC, He's the proof that rank means nothing.

You'd think so but skill is something there's a definite cap on (you get as good as you're going to after a point) and insight? Pft! Some officers barely seem able to function properly. You see this a lot when you command; you spot and spot enemy infantry near a *insert officer rank here* capping a flag in armour and he just lets the spec ops guy come at him from behind and C4 his ass. This isn't all of them obviously but it's the sort of 'I have no clue' behaviour you might expect from a corporal, not a captain.

Seriously? I'm not a great player... and I'm usually playing sniper don't forget, a 'lesser' kit... but I often outperform high-ranking officers in score, kills, KDR, maybe even team points (earlier this evening, at the same time, a colonel, two lieutenant colonels, a captain and two other lieutenants who probably have more points than I do since I only passed 60k this morning). Not just in one game either; if I stick with a server as the map rotates and maybe play five or six rounds I might beat the same officers again and again so it's not like they just had a single game where they went AFK to make coffee or answer the phone

One certain advantage I can think of is that a player with 1000+ hours of game play (99 % of them) wont keep spawning on a flag site where there is bunch of tanks, APCs, transports and a chopper raping it like crazy.
Unless its the last one ofcourse.

On the other hand alot (NOT ALL BUT ALOT) of lower rank  players will keep on doing it. Why ? Because alot of them are newbies without expirience. I just recently started playing and I used to do it. I would hit one of 4 tanks raping a flag with AT and die and think "If I respawn and hit it once more I might get that cheating noob". Now I know that few tanks with Engineers and suplycrates are too tough of a nutt to crack, and spawning on a heavily sourounded Flag, when there are few outhers in our hands, is nuts.

If you were about to enter a game that your life depended on (bare with me) and you had the option of choosing  15 more players for your team. In one imaginary box there are 100 players with lower ranks that you can choose from (not knowing their names, stats etc.) and in other 100 players with high ranks (same applies here). From which group would you choose from ???
