Go here and install SubInAcl : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta … laylang=en
Install that.
Then create a text file and paste this inside it.
Then save that as reset.cmd under c:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\
Should look like this:
Then go into a command prompt and type:

Wait about 10 minutes for that to finish and try installing that update again.

This will reset your registry permissions back to full control
Install that.
Then create a text file and paste this inside it.

There have been several updates that had bugs in them, that went into a contious loop. there was a hotfix for it a while back. you said you just installed, so you may be missing one?

Another thing that some times works is not installing them while Windows is fully up and running. Use the "Install updates and shut down" option.
Oh yeah, use ewido antispyware, spybot, adaware, and a great AntiVirus that has a free 30 day trial is etrust. I highly recomend using all of these programs when you're cleaning house. GLDes.Kmal wrote:
