Can you own a Longbow?

The helicopter not the stick.

So in the US, or whatever country, could you buy an attack helicopter such as the Apache Longbow, just for kicks? Assuming you can fly it an everything, and obviously they wouldn't give you a hellfire, or rounds for the chain gun. Wouldn't want you taking overy your own small country.

So post your thoughts or cruch my dreams, but what piece of equipment would you want?

If you were an ally of the US and a Government org you could buy a Longbow. There is things like International Trade in Arms Restrictions (ITAR) and US State Dept approval to get over but if you are legit, no probs. They'll even throw in the hellfires, rockets and bullets for you!!

Unfortunately, we (Aussies) selected the Eurocopter Tiger over the Apache for our Army.

If I could have a toy, it'd be the space shuttle without a doubt.

Yes there are demilitarized Ex military choppers on the market. But I doubt the Apache Longbow is at the moment, give it another 15 years and you may see some go into the privet market.
