Whenever I try to join a server from firefox I get this message - Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (feed) isn't associated with any program.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

so what server do you want to join? I don't really understand the problem, but maybe that's because I just woke up.

Basically, when you look at a server on game-monitor.com there is an option to "PLAY" but when you roll your mouse over it it says something like bf2://{server ip}... or something like that. I think it needs BF2 associating with an action in forefox (and IE does the same).

I'm not sure how it would work like because you haven't given it any log in details so I don't see how it could take you straight into a server.

Anyone throw any light on this?

if its gonna work its gonna be something like Xfire, so a window pops up with username and password and if its correct it will connect you with the server.

You need a little protocol program, that connects Firefox, game-monitor and BF2.
There is one out for free downloding on one of the other BF2 community sites, but I can really remember where. Just try to google "BF2, protocol" or something similar. Should take you to the right place.

Okay, looks like this is it here.

I'd read the thread before installing.

Thanks for your info guys. That download is gone on that link, I guess because it's over a year old, but I'll search for some protocol like that.    Thanks again.
