Hi guys, I have been asked to upload my running processes and registry setting to a website but how to I do this? For the running processes, do I have to press ctrl alt delete and just manually write them down or is there a way I can copy and paste them? How do I get a log of my registry?

For your running processes can't you just CTRL+ALT+DEL, stretch the window until you can see all of your processes and then hit print screen and paste it into a suitable graphics package.

For registry, I know there are registry files, but I can't remember what they are called. Can you run REGEDIT and then export your registry to a file?

why dont you ask them what you should do.. theres probably something specific they normally do (they being whoever is advising you... and i hope you trust them)

Well to be honest I haven't been asked yet, but I know I will be. It is actually a friend who has the problem and wants me to fix it. he has only explained that after installing aol wireless broadband his pc sometimes crashes or freezes and he reckons it's not a virus.

Thus I was gonna use expertsexchange or the like and I knwo they always want you to upload your settings.

If you think it's malware, avast!, avg, ad-aware, spybot and ccleaner are great.
