Ya some shots are just funny and shouldn't happen. Case in point: I consider myself a decent sniper, but I did hit a guy running perpindicular to me at wake at just under 400 yards. I stared in disbelief and then laughed, needless to say he was pissed and probably wondered if I was cheating, which at times seems like a legitimate complain.

I find low ranked ppl to be very accurate on infantry only servers, i check their stats if i remember their name and of course their k/d ratio is a load of crap...but of course u get ppl startin new accounts. Even when iam commander i see ppl on my OWN team knowing where ppl are without UAV/me spotting assistance...
Yeah, i'd like to say that the level of players is just getting better with the new IO option, but there are just some shots that are ridiculous. I can easily contribute one to three shots as lucky, but when i'm getting head shot EVERY time i poke my head up in any area by the same exact person over 8 times, i consider that to be something of a fluke. Still, who really knows the answer, maybe the guy was just exceptionally on, but it seems like the rest of you are having some of the same problems.
I am sure I saw cheats/hax/aimbots. A lot of the times it is something like a svd hack, they empty their whole clip within two seconds and get 8 headshots, every time. I know that the svd is a headshot machine but I can see

I gotta say with out the tanks and aircraft constantly trashing the maps on an IO game it has opened a world where snipers can hide in the most elaborate of places, making some awesome kills. Now im no sniper but i have made some incredable shots just lately on the 1.4 patch. especially on jalalabad. while the game itself is open to hacks and cheats still, i find the most explainable as i have found on jalalabad is the fog scaling/mist of war. (i agree that this does depend on your graphics card and settings) but mine are just defaulted to high and i use an ati 9800 pro. but there are area on said map (jalaaa what ever) that you can see through but can not be seen. ie ican see troops near the uncap flag next to the container at the us uncap base on jalalabad but they cant see me, not through me hiding or purposely staying out of view, its just a a fog/mist glitch.
You can put alot of 'Magic' shots down to luck, i`ve done it as sniper on karkand, i ran round a corner at the same time as an enemy soldier, i proned and shot blindly with my l96 and fluked a head shot. the other guy probably thought i was cheating, when it was just a fluke. But sometimes you notice one guy who keeps pulling of miracle shots throughout the round, i was on jalalabd the other day and some guy was using engineer with the shotty and getting headshots from distance. He even got me in the head out of a moving jeep! It`s that sort of situation that makes me think 'aimbot using c*%t!!'.
Oh man, i definitely know what you mean, i was capping the American gas station flag on Mashtuur, and some guy using the M-117 pump shotty was standing at the corner of the building while i was standing in the bushes at the flag, blammo, one shot at the longest range i've ever seen with the shotty, i was down after having full health. I don't think "skill" has anything to do with it, for the vast majority of those who do it.
I own the Battleforce Community Servers, you cant imagine how many players I see hack on our Battlefield 2142 and Battlefield 2 Servers, I run through the demos sometimes and can see player obviously wall hacking and getting shots no human could ever make. There are many cheats for BF2, and PB is almost useless in this game, the only thing I have seen PB kick anyone for is inactivity, and I have too many thousands of hours in the game.
There are sites that sell hacks and bots and gaurantee that pb won't catch you, the code changes everytime the program is loaded.
I snipe a lot, I enjoy counter sniping, and there are some great snipers out there, there are also some cheating bastards. When I get killed by a great shot I usually say something to the sniper like NS (nice shot), I know there are people out there better than I will ever be.
When a sniper can hit you while he is diving to the ground, without aiming he is using a bot, has happened with all weapons.
The ones that really piss me off are the air whores who never miss. I don't know how the can make the kills they do. There have been some guys who literally one day could not keep from crashing and the next are super pilots who can't miss.
Then there are the seat hoppers, one guy in an attack chopper hopping back and forth using the tv missile, yeah like that should work.
Sometimes I think there are more cheaters in the game than straight players. The game has enough bugs and exploits that we don't need cheaters, it kind of ruins it for everyone.
There are also hacks and bots for armor. I saw a guy go 85 kills 0 deaths on karkand one night, I put 4 tank rounds into his tank and 3 at rockets and he wouldn't die, he killed me with 1 round from his cannon, no he was not sitting on a crate. There are cheats that let you inflict max damage and there are cheats that let you sustain minimum damage.
So if you don't believe there are hacks, bots, cheats and cheaters in BF2 do a google search for BF2 cheats, hacks, or bots, you'll be amazed.

Ive never seen a hack where the tank is indestructible but if they are one shotting u all the time it is possible, but if your hitting the tank wrong that it wont even smoke...ive had shots ricohet of me without doing any damage at all.-=LB=-Double Maduro wrote:

an aimbot makes your aim better
I have been accused of using aimbot so many times after I started playing IO, especially when I have played the Mashtuur City map as sniper. Sometimes I can understand why they accuse me.
ex. When you as a sniper turn a corner and you see one right in front of you and just shoot without aiming and get a headshot....but it happens so deal with it.
I'm so tired of ppl accusing other ppl for using aimbots, just because they have been killed by that person 8 times in a row or what ever.
I'm not a very good sniper, but I can easily take out the fools that just insta prone every time he is one on one with me, because its so easy to hit them in the head then.
So no I don't use an aimbot and I yes I do get very very lucky sometimes when I am in CQC as sniper (Not semi auto)
