No, I'm not talking about my computer.
I'm talking about an intersection just outside of my city. I live in Medicine Hat, and if you head west towards the little town of Dunmore (like 5 mins out of town) you will come across an intersection along the highway. You can turn right and cross the other 2 lanes of highway and get on Eagle Butte road. There is a gas station and golfing target green on the other side of the highway.
So you're thinking, 'Big deal, it's an intersection.' right?
Well this intersection has had about 8 fatal crashes in the last 2-3 years, most involving deaths.
People cannot see the oncoming lanes when they go to turn onto Eagle Butte road because of blind spots. They pull out and wham, they get hit. Either that or People come off of Eagle Butte road and go to turn, and they don't see the car coming (blind spots) or they misjudge and wham, they get hit.
2 days ago, a Chrysler Concorde was hit by a Ford Explorer. One woman was flown to Calgary, and the other one only suffered minor injuries. Yesterday, a red Chrysler minivan was hit by a 16-year old in a car. The 16-year old ignored the stop sign and clipped the back of the van. There were no injuries, fortunately, but the 16-year old was charged.
Now, after 2 or 3 years, our city has done nothing about this intersection. They are more worried about money than peoples lives. They are deciding to lengthen the turning lanes, which wouldn't cost very much, or they are deciding to build an overpass, which would cost quite a bit.
I'm just ticked off that so many lives have been lost and the city has done nothing about it. Has anything like this happened in your city/town, and if so, what has your city/town done to fix it?
Here's a picture of the intersection:

Also, if you follow Eagle Butte road up a little bit (can't see on the picture) you will come to another crucial intersection where many people have died also. All the city has done was put in a few rumble strips, a large stop sign, and signs saying, 'Important Intersection Ahead'
