Well another sad story: Battlefield might be dead.
Most of you know it started with the BF2 patches. The good stuff the patches brought to BF2 players BARELY outweigh the staggering amount of disappoinment, the only example I know of is the "Curse of 1.3" altough other players claim it started with other patches.

Battlefield 2142: Right now itll take me 5 hours to download the demo. I was SO excited about the game and the futuristic goodness. I tried to ignore the BETA players saying it sucked. I told myself "What a bunch of impatient retards" but now, reading the demo posts I can see a dark future for the next generation of the Battlefield games. Already people are reporting how the gameplay sucks, it crashes like 1.3, and other crap.
Now Im kinda scared because Ive played these games all the way to BFV.

Anyone else fear the decline of the Battlefield series? Is 2142 really that bad?

2142 sucks compared to bf2 as far as the demo is concerned.

the vehicles are made out of cardboard

your guy screams his head off if he falls of a 10 inch drop.

and when you run you bounce all over the place and run out of breath after 10 yards

i plan to buy a jimmy page les paul custom, marshall jcm 800, vox tonelab se, then maybe go to nashville and buy a double neck gibson, then an es-335, looks like a good christmas

Here's hoping they get that one right, 2142 will hold me for a little while though, but as soon as QW comes out unless 2142 has bucked it's ideas up it's gone.

I don't know but i won't be playing the 2142 demo or game, i don't really get into "futuristic" stuff like that. Im sure it will be fine, hopefully EA/DIce learned something with Bf2. But i won't be playing it.

One of the problems I see with 2142 is that EA is betting the farm that it's going to be a smash hit...

In-game advertisments, Special promotional prizes for pre-ordering, The game being stuffed down peoples throats everytime they start-up BF2.

It's fairly obvious they're doing everything in their power to make 2142 seem like the 'OMG better than BF2, must buy' game of the later end of this year...

If ya'll really want Dice to close, make sure 2142 is a flop. EA will lose a ton of money and dump Dice like cheese past its expiration date.

I dont want that to happen. DICE created BF2 and BF2 is the best game Ive played. Dumping Dice would be a great waste of talent. But theyve made lots of bad decisions.....
