go to www.staticice.com.au and search all your parts you should be able to get them cheaper.

I would say get 2 GB of ram and a 500 Watt PSU.

You can get the 4200X2  in AM2 Socket to
~ Do you not know that in the service … one must always choose the lesser of two weevils?

2gb of ram and it doesn't have to be DDR2 at a high clock speed and save more money for Dx10 card

Yup get 2gb of cheaper ram - middle range, the performance for buying real expensive ram is next to none!!! and upgrade graphics card to a 7800 gt, you will appreciate the difference, also the processor is pretty top of the line... maybe a little over the top.. if you need to downgrade that so you can afford the 7800gt.

One other thing.... check with the company that you are buying from that the power supply has at least 18Amps on the 12 Volt rail. It will say on the side of the powersupply. You must make sure of this otherwise you will be wanting to upgrade to a new powersupply sooner rather than later..

Why not just go with the 7600 and then wait till DX10 cards come out. No sense on wasting your money on a good card while new ones are coming out really soon

i cant afford the raptor hard drives i want them but they cost $265 for 74GB while the one i can afford to get is  400GB for $200  and i want at least 200GB of hard drive how much difference does a raptor hard  drive make ?, im not sure if i can afford the 7900's graphics either, extra $200 thank for your help though appreciate it

For the raptors they just speed up loading a little bit. I don't have one and i load fine. If you aren't getting a raptor then make sure you have 2gb of ram as you will see a BIG difference in loading time compared to a raptor.

Everything seems fine to me. Make sure everything fits and works well. Don't want any bottlenecks in the system

Get the 34 gig raptor and a second HD.  Use you raptor as C and place your OS and online games on it, place everything else on your D drive.

Just watch what ram u buy, AM2 has been quite bad with OCZ...if ur buying from a near buy store then sure, but u dont wanna buy it all and have a shit problem like that to start with..do some research first.  Oh and go with ATI so u can stomp the rest...

If you don't know what you're doing when it comes to building your own system, have someone else do it. If you want to learn, glue your face to nerdy tech sites (specifically watch for "build-of-the-month" configurations), and read this book:

Upgrading and Repairing PCs (17th Edition)
