I sure do. I've began playing IO and I always get over 150 points in a round.

Do you guys do better on infatry only maps than regular maps?

I do but I try not to play them too often as, for me it creates an inbalance in the game, theres no point in being Anti-tank or engineer so is top heavy with snipers.
Also I find myself playing differently, and walking straight out in front of tanks looking for snipers on normal servers!! which is stupid, so I play IO servers only as a change rather than the norm!!

I never use the GL, I hate sniper, and I'm not a point whore, I just like to own everyone with the G36E.

IO is only fun on certain maps, most times its pretty pointless and gay!!

The only map I could see that would be any fun with IO is Great Wall 16 player size!!! Other than that, no thanks. . . .

My K:d ratio is much higher without armor whores present. Which basically proves my theory that armor whores cant shoot when playing IO

edit: The high scores can be related to less armor taking up points, and more revives

Not true: I have a decent k:d with the tank. I haven't played enough to be considered a whore but most of my kills are in vehicles. however, with IO my SPM is going way up just with the kills im getting. So a tank whore can go on an IO server and do very good.

Yeah, the no artillery is wicked.

And the G36E isn't a noob gun, it's a fun gun. Just cause it's super accurate doesn't make it a noob gun.

I get better scores on IO, but only because the squads seem to stick together better on IO, which means more healing points and revives (that are actually useful, to boot).

Jalalabad is surprisingly good on IO, even if USMC never takes a flag. That desert landscape was pretty well spaced out: you can snipe, rush to the next rock until you take the Lake or Outpost, and the nade spamming (while extremely prevalent) isn't too difficult to dodge because there's so much open space.

well snap. it depends how you play period. if you do fairly well on regular servers, you're bound to perform better in IO servers since you don't have any tanks to worry about

No. It takes zero skill to use. Prone, point, click, dead. If you use it you better not die much, because it can snipe snipers. If you got ambushed by 10 guys you could kill them all with one clip too.

I bought BF2 because it HAD vehicles, choppers, stuff you would see on a normal battlefield. IO defeats the purpose of the game for me. I like to mix up my time doing everything from flying choppers to ground pounding playing support, and everything in between like patrolling maps in a humvee. I thought the addition of infantry only was really lame to be honest. They didnt even put out maps designed for this type of combat. And you can totally tell the game was never designed for it, it was just a last minute 'apology hack' imo. Sorry for 1.3, heres a new map + feature for you whining infantry who cant use TOWs or AA.

Usually, yes. As a sniper, even playing in the thick of things, I'm fairly sure most of my deaths on normal servers are due to a combination of armour, artie and helos/aircraft, not infantry gunfire.

If you don't play IO, which your statement would seem to imply seeing as you would have just called yourself a no-skill spammer or point whore, then how would you know who does or does not play on it? And I know for a fact that you didn't conduct a detailed survey to come up with some statistics to base your statement on

For the record, plenty of skilled players play IO, just like plenty of skilled players play normally.

I get maybe 50 points higher than a normal server. And engineer is a great class to be with the jackhammer cause its so powerful.
