Which is FASTER/better deal/Better choice???
a 1x1gb will run fast and work better but is not cheap if it was me 2x1gb ddr2
IF you are running in dual channel, then 2x512 will be faster and probably cheaper, but one gig stick will be easier to upgrade in the future.
So what im trying to get at is i wanna get rid of my wooden RAM and put in some kingston hyper x or corsair xms And i want a gig. So am i going to bennifit more from a single GB stick or from 2 matched 512's?
2 512 sticks is actually more expensive. I also find that it doesn't run better. That's just for me though. I prefer the extra slot for more memory.
Again, if you have dual channel, two 512s will run faster, but for futureproofing I would go with the 1 gig stick. Very soon 2 gig will be the standard for reccomended gaming specs, if not already.
I have 4 slots for ram whatever that might be
i have 2 slots NOT DDR bum but i got 2,, 1 gbs in pure class ishhhh
